Sun Fire V880z visualization server is a powerful yet affordable
platform for deploying high-end visualization technology.
The system features single or dual Sun XVR-4000 graphics accelerators
that plug directly into the Sun Fireplane interconnect of
the Sun Fire V880 server. The Sun XVR-4000 graphics accelerator
provides the exceptional visual quality critical for large
display environments. The Sun Fire V880z visualization server
supports a maximum of six 900-MHz UltraSPARC III processors
and 48 GB of memory with a single Sun XVR-4000 graphics accelerator
installed or four 900-MHz UltraSPARC III processors and 32
GB of memory with two Sun XVR-4000 graphics accelerators installed.
Supporting very large data sets, large texture sizes, and
multithreaded visualization applications that can take advantage
of multiple CPUs, the Sun Fire V880z visualization server
is ideal for those who require performance, visual quality,
and functionality for high-end, workgroup visualization environments.
